You are welcome to the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, an epitome of Anglicanism in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

We have over the years encouraged a culture of continuous improvement in our organizational processes, embraced a more dynamic evangelical purpose, and positively responded to neo-Pentecostal trends whilst still firmly rooted in the Word of God.

Our cosmopolitan disposition has attracted worshipers from diverse genre. The AVMCC as it is widely known is composed of a balance mix of Children, dependent youths, working class adults and retired adults.

Typical Sunday activities includes 6 different worship services (3 of which are conducted simultaneously), various society meetings/ gatherings and an Evening Service to close the day’s activities.

The ground of the Cathedral is opened every day of the week, starting with a Holy Communion Service at 7am.  Tuesdays and Wednesday evening are climaxed with purpose driven, spirit filled and energetic Bible Study sessions and Prayer Meeting sessions respectively.

The AVMCC indeed personifies the statement “In the presence of God, there is fullness of Joy” the reason being that there is never a dull moment in the AVMCC community.
